YEAR OF SPORTS

“Year of Sports” Inter School Sivagangai District Level competition was held at Muthaiah Alagappa Matriculation Higher Secondary School. To make the events coincide with RIO Olympic this competition started on the same day when Olympic Games started at Rio De Geniro. On stage and off stage events were held and in this competition more than 15 schools from Sivagangai District participated.

In Track and Field events 100 meters 200 meters , 4 x 100 meters relay, Volley Ball, Foot Ball, Cricket, Shot put, Slow cycle race etc. were held. We were the winners in 100 meters, 200 meters, 4 x 100 meters relay for boys as well as girls, cricket, Girls Volley Ball, Shot put for boys and girls our school.

On stage event was also organized on this occasion. Exhibition, Dance Drama, Quiz, Best Mother and Child, Ad Act, Essay Writing, Poetry writing, Drawing etc.

Our school students’ talent was brought into limelight in various events and got a lot of applause and appreciation from the audience. Our school secured the maximum number of points winning most of the events and was declared the OVER ALL CHAMPION.

The highlight of this victory is our school got the title of OVER ALL CHAMPION for the 7th time CONSECUTIVELY and won Cash Prize of Rupees 5,000.
